Here we go again. Shame on you GLS Germany for letting your employees lie and get away with NOT doing their job. We were expecting a parcel this morning, I even saw the GLS car parked in front of a neighboring building and the guy getting in there with a couple of packets. Two hours later we find out that our parcel was delivered to a packet shop 4 km away on the excuse that we were not at home (we were there all the time). Nobody rang the doorbell and there was no notification left in the mailbox. To me, GLS joins the exclusive group of companies never to deal with again - right next to UPS. I used GLS services quite a lot in the past but never again.

What can I say except everything all the other comments already said. The driver was not at my house (waited on the porch) but still had the nerve to say no one was there. 3 hours later, it was delivered to a parcel shop (2km away, no issue there) edit: I did not receive any letter obviously. The tracking info with the PARCEL number, not the track ID, will give the details about the shop it has been sent to, fortunately for the driver. Customer support (if they are even aware they own one) is contacted about the driver's behaviour but I can already tell they do not care (see other comments) How can a driver neglect his main task? Deliver at home? I cannot tolerate such a behaviour for a big and well known company. What a shame

The service is horrible. They damaged one of my packages from Zalando so I received the necklace broken (it’s missing a half of it!). And now they can not deliver the other package from Zalando for more then a week. They just indicate that I’m not home. Even though I work from home, and I can’t wait to get my package. I would never recommend their service!

GLS did not leave a notification that I missed the delivery. Clearly stated on the parcel is my preferred PaketShop (significantly closer than the one GLS send my parcel to). I contacted the sender to get the track number and find the parcel is at a PaketShop some distance away. I call the PaketShop to ask if they can check what is written on the parcel. They refuse to help. I call GLS and am told I cannot nominate a PaketShop (even though their website clearly states this is possible and this has worked twice before) and I email GLS. No reply. I contact the sender and say I will not collect the parcel and they kindly send a replacement with the nominated PaketShop clearly in bold on the parcel. I missed the delivery but did actually get a notification and the parcel has not gone to my nominated PaketShop. I will as usual make a complaint to Royal Mail.

I have had a parcel lost in the GLS system since September last year it was apparently delivered to pick up point in Darmstadt Germany I was not made aware of the details and returned to the UK in September. It is apparently in Germany again and I have not been made aware of the details. There are no contact details at all. I suppose the process will start again. Would not recommend the service to anybody.
